Bathurst - John MacKenzie, 56, of Munro St., Bathurst, passed away at Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst on Tuesday July 17, 2012.

Born in Antigonish, N.S., he was the son of the late Daniel and Charlotte (Hichey) MacKenzie.

He is survived by five brothers: Daniel (Judy) of Antigonish, N.S., Ronald of Ontario, Darryl (Jeanne) of Bathurst, Donald of Bathurst, Joseph (Lisa) of Ontario.

Five sisters:  Mary Smith (Ken) of British Columbia, Theresa Chiasson (James) of Bathurst, Charlotte Durley (Fred) of Nova Scotia, Sharon Landry (Marcel) of Ontario, Geraldine Noël (Gary) of Bathurst.

Many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by one brother, Cornelius "Connie".

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com) Bathurst. Funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 11 a.m. (July 21, 2012) from the Funeral Home Chapel, St. George St., Bathurst. In memory of John a donation may be made to a favorite choice.
