1927 - 2012

Bathurst - Ivan Chiasson, 85, of College St. Bathurst, passed away on Monday (November 12, 2012) at his residence after a brief illness.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late William and Valarie (Lanteigne) Chiasson.

He worked in the forest industry for most of his life as a woodsman and was always felt at home in the woods.

He is survived by his wife, Gail (Eddy) Chiasson.

Three daughters: Lynn Bourque (Edmond "Junior") of Bathurst, Shirley Chiasson-Gregan (Brian) of Ste. Anne’s and Lillian Jarvis (Bruce Holman) of Calgary, Alta.

Three sisters: Jean Arseneau (Leonard) and Yvette Boyce (John) both of Bathurst and Gisèle Chiasson of Cornwall, Ont. Several nieces and nephews.

He was pre-deceased by a son, Jerry in 1992; three brothers: Lewis, John, Ronnie; four sisters: Anita, Bertilda, Effie and Judy.

By request, there will be no visitation or funeral. 

Donations in memory of Ivan may be made to the Salvation Army, the Bathurst Animal Shelter or a charity of the donors choice.
