1951 - 2013

Bathurst - Elaine Rosemary Bourque, 61, of Sunset Dr., Bathurst, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2013, at Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst, after a brief illness.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Edmond & Irene (White) Bourque.

She was very dearly loved by her brothers: Edmond Junior, Jackie (Marie-Paule) of Bathurst and Paul of St-Francois-du-Lac, Qc.

As well as her sisters: Pauline Dann (Dennis) of Porters Lake, N.S. and Yvette Boyle (Bill) of Bathurst.

She was very special to the following nieces and nephews: Shauna, Barry, Charlene, Jessica, Audrey, Philippe, Erin, Don, Krista and Jaclyn.

Elaine's pleasant personality endeared her to many in the community.  She loved music and had a beautiful voice.  She remembered details about everyone she knew and she was always able to offer a kind word with a warm smile. Those who knew her could easily see that her gentle simplicity was a lesson for us all... Compassion, care and kindness.  Our dear Elaine was SPECIAL in EVERY way. She will be missed.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst.  

Donations in memory of Elaine may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
