Mr. Clifford Roy, 69, of Tower Hill, Bathurst, passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst following a lengthy battle with cancer.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Edmond Roy and Catherine Bertin.

Clifford was employed with GE Canada for 37 years, retiring in 2003.  He enjoyed playing crib with his brothers and his son, spending time with his grandchildren and never misses a thanksgiving week-end at Camp Ramsey, he also enjoyed four wheeling.  He was always known for his great sense of humor, ready to help and he had contagious attitudes that brighten up everyone around him.  

He is survived by one daughter, Tammy Watts (Keith) of California U.S.

One son, Brad Roy (Elaine) of Truro N.S.

Two grandchildren who knew him as papa, which he adored: Nikolas (6) and Christofer (4)

Three Brothers: Paul (Dianna) of Elliot Lake, Ont., Peter and Gerald of Bathurst.

Eight sisters: Helen Corconan of Toronto, Ont., Theresa Boudreau of Maple, Ont., Alice Bernier (Philippe) Eva Robichaud, Beatrice Roy, Mary Jean Jacques, Rose-Marie Couture and Susan Goodine (Gerald), all of Bathurst.

Clifford was pre-deceased by one sister, Agnes Pinette (Wallace)

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Elhatton Funeral Home, St. George St., Bathurst (www.elhatton.com) on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.  The funeral service will be held at the Elhatton Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at 2 pm.

We would like to thank the staff at the palliative care unit, especially Lloyd for all their care and attention.
