Beresford - Majella Cormier, 84, of Beresford, died Friday (September 3, 2004) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
Born in Robertville, he was the son of the late Alphonse and Elizabeth (Roy) Cormier.
He served in World War II, with the North Shore Regiment of the Royal Canadian Army in Canada and overseas. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Petit-Rocher and the Chevaliers De Colomb de Beresford.
Besides his wife, the former Léona Frenette, he is survived by:
Two sons:
Martin Cormier (Denise DesRosiers) and
Martial Cormier (Jeannine) both of Beresford
Three daughters:
Linda Cormier (Mike Horan) of Toronto, ON
Eva Haché (Bernadin) de Nigadoo, NB
Mona Pelletier (Donald) de Dunlop, NB
Three brothers:
Alphé Cormier (Violette) and
Joseph Cormier (Edith) both of Montreal, Que.
Emile Cormier of Saint-Laurent, NB
Six grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by three sons, Maurice, Michel, Rejean; brothers, Alfred, Nicholas, Arthur; sisters, Léona, Eva and Eveline.
The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Maison Funéraire Héritage, 270 rue Centre, Beresford. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday afternoon (September 6, 2004) at 4:30 p.m. from Eglise St. Nom de Jesus, Beresford.
