Bathurst - Gerald Arseneau, 91, of Riverside Dr., passed away on Friday (April 19, 2013) at the Robert L. Knowles Veterans Unit, Bathurst.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Richard and Bridgitte (Chamberlain) Arseneau.
He was a veteran of World War II with the Royal Canadian Army serving in Canada and overseas and was a member of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion Bathurst. He was retired from the New Brunswick Liquor Commission.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He is survived by his wife, Florence (Arseneau) Arseneau.
Two grandchildren: Shawn, Ryan and one great-grandchild. Several nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by a son, Roger.
There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday (April 23, 2013) at 11 a.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst. Donation in memory of Gerald may be made to the Robert L. Knowles Veterans Unit or a favorite charity.
