Bathurst – Agnes Lavigne, 86, wife of the late Frederick "Freddie" Lavigne, of Résidence Vienneau and formerly of Joan of Arc Lane, passed away Tuesday (September 3, 2013) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness. Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Nazario and Elizabeth (Chambers) Juliano.
She was a member of Ladies Auxiliary, of the Herman J. Good V. C. Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion.
She is survived by three sons: Bernal (Annette) of Bathurst, twins: Blair (Rachel) of Bathurst, and Brian (Robin Johnson) of Indiana, USA.
Five daughters: Judy Lanteigne (Gilles) of Allardville, Carmeline Lavigne (Leonard) and Brenda Melanson (Randy) both of Bathurst, Anne Marie Lavigne of Moncton and Lucie Lavigne (Paul Albert) of Edmunston
23 Grandchildren, 12 Great-grandchildren.
Five sisters: Sylverina Juliano of Bathurst, Mary Brideau of Pont-Landry, Angelina Juliano of Tracadie-Sheila, Carmella Couture of Bathurst and Rita Dufresne of Ontario.
One brother, George Juliano (Eileen) of Boston, USA.
Several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Merina Lavigne; sister, Eveline Savoie; brothers: Tony and Herby.
The body will rest at Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com) Bathurst on Thursday September 5, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, Friday, Sept. 6, 2013 from 9 a.m. until time of funeral.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday morning (September 6, 2012) at 11 a.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave. Bathurst.
Donation in memory of Agnes may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Alzheimer’s Society or a favorite charity.
