- Date de décès: 18 septembre 2004

Mary Elizabeth Russell, 65, of St. Peter Ave., Bathurst, died suddenly at her residence on Saturday (September 18, 2004).
Beloved and special daughter of the late Charles S. Russell and Elizabeth Jeanetta Russell and beloved daughter of the late Mrs. Irene 'Tootsie' Goneau.
Mary was pre-deceased by a brother, Charles A. Russell. Mary was dearly loved and will be missed by her son, Bernard George Russell of Moncton; her loving sister Jessica Ryan of Bathurst and brother John A. Russell of Bathurst. Her dearest cousins include Joan and Paul Heckbert; Fred Audet and Renée Savage, Patricia Frenette and so many of an extended family from throughout the country.
Mary kept them close and happy and up to date news wise through electronic E-Mail. Especially dear to Mary was her friend of more than twenty years, Carl Kinsman, his son Patrick and his children and grandchildren. Mary loved it when the young called her 'Nanny'. Mary leaves a bevy of aunts and uncles and cousins from all sides of the family and all corners of our region.
Mary's work life included the Bathurst Tribune, the Lab at the Chaleur Regional Hospital for many years and ended her work career as secretary for the Extra Mural Hospital.
Mary was kind, gentle, unassuming person who believed in rights for everyone and once she called you a friend, you were her friend forever. She was true blue and kind to a fault and couldn't even step on an ant as it had a right to live. Mary was a beautiful woman and a gorgeous child and she was not afraid to think of dying and she even prepared the service for her last rites and as was her nature she really 'did it her way'. The service is devoted to her family and her 'Beach Friends' and of course to all of the others who loved her.
A private family service will be held from the Funeral Home Chapel at a later date. Burial will be in the Holy Family Cemetery.
Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst.
