1943 – 2013
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Vienneau, formerly of Big River, which occurred in Barrie, Ontario on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at the age of 70. Born in Bathurst, Johnny was the son of the late Edward and Margaret (Doucet) Vienneau.
Johnny was a great man, he was always willing to give a helping hand to anyone in need and a mentor to anyone willing to learn whether it be carpentry or mechanics. He worked at the Brunswick mines for several years before retiring, but not really retiring from the work force because he then went into business for himself mowing lawns and working on people’s cars.
Johnny is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Vienneau (McGrath) of Barrie Ontario.
His three daughters: Helen Henry (Isadore) of Bathurst, Marlene Irwin (Stephen) of Quispamsis, Sophie Vienneau (Ryan) of Barrie Ontario.
His seven grandchildren: Kayla Irwin, Timothy Henry, Jaclyn Irwin, Brittany Legacy, Mandy Legacy, Cheyenne and Sarah.
The mother of his children; (Helen and Marlene), Adeline Doucet of Bathurst.
His two brothers: Pierre Vienneau and Charles Vienneau both of Bathurst. Several nieces and nephews all who loved him very much.
Johnny was predeceased by his sister, Jeannette Couture and two daughters: Margaret and Angela.
There will be a memorial service held for Johnny on Saturday, (October 12, 2013) at 11 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst.
Donations in memory of "Johnny" may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the IWK Health Centre.
