1951 - 2014

Bathurst - Mrs. Gloria Furey, 62, wife of John Furey, of Murray Ave., Bathurst, passed away Friday (March 7, 2014) at her residence after a brief illness.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of Martina (Drysdale) Thibodeau and the late Sylvester Thibodeau.

Besides her mother of Bathurst and her husband, she is survived by two children:  Shawna Russell (Adrien Lanteigne) of Big River and Lisa Lavigne (Jody) of Bathurst.  

Step-children:  Mandie Blusson (Mike) of Williams Lake, BC, Jennifer Debogorski (Curtis) of Red Deer, AB, Cindy Furey (Steven Hebbard) of Fort MacMurray, AB and Lori Dickson (Billy) of Calgary, AB.

Nine grandchildren.

One sister, Debbie O'Toole (Danny) of South Tetagouche.  Two brothers:  Wayne Thibodeau (Joanne) of Ste Anne and Keith Thibodeau of Calgary, AB.

Several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Elhatton's Funeral Home, St. George St., Bathurst.  Funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday afternoon (March 11, 2014) at 2 p.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel.
