1938 - 2014

Bathurst - Mrs. Ruby Theriault, 76, wife of Médard Theriault, of Sainte Anne St., Bathurst, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in New Mills, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Marguerite (Mazerolle) Richard.

Besides her husband, she is survived by four sons: Gary (Donna) of Big River, Paul (Brenda) of Allardville, Norman (Patsy) and Danny both of Bathurst. 

Three daughters: Darlene Coombs (Gary Couture) and Claudette LaPointe (Jarvis) both of Bathurst and Debbie Pitre (Michel) of South Tetagouche. 

Fifteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren.

Five brothers: Edmond Richard (Stella) of Bathurst, Archie Richard (Anne) and Leander Richard (late Mona) both of New Mills,  George Richard (Bessie) of Ontario and Edward Richard (Betty Anne) of Salmon Beach.

Five sisters: Rita Roy (Peter) of Bathurst, Theresa Biseau (late Henry) and Alice Bertin (Norman) both of Rough Waters, Lydia Carrier (late Edgar) of Dalhousie and Elizabeth Harding (Cecil) of Ontario.

Several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son, Roger, two brothers: Leonard, Joseph and a great-granddaughter Rebecca.

The family will receive relatives and friends after 2 p.m. Friday, May 23, 2014 at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. 

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning, May 24, 2014 at 11 a.m. from the Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst. 

Visiting hours are Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. 

Donations in memory of Ruby may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society or a favorite charity.
