South Tetagouche, N.B. - Scott Chambers, 73, of South Tetagouche, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton, after a brief illness.
Born in Toronto, Ont., he was the son of the late Lloyd Chambers and Leota June (Winterton) (Chambers) Tinney.
He was pre-deceased by his step-father, Alfred Tinney.
Besides his wife, Dorina (Daigle) Chambers, he is survived by five children: Karen DeGrace (Paul) of Miramichi, Louise Callahan (Robert) of North River, N.S., Lloyd Chambers (Nicole McCarty) of Fredericton, Christopher Chambers (Tammy) of Miramichi and Sarah Chambers (Matthew Leblanc) of Fredericton.
Eleven grandchildren.
One brother, Robert Chambers (Nancy) of Toronto, Ont.
Several nieces and nephews.
Scott served with The Queens Own Rifles of Canada, the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps and later with the 2nd Battalion Royal New Brunswick Regiment.
There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday September 20, 2014 at 2 p.m. from the Evangel Pentecostal Church, 150 Basin St., Bathurst.
In memory of Scott, a donation to Last Post Fund or a favorite charity would be appreciated by the family.
