North Tetagouche - James M. Nugent, 69, of North Tetagouche, died suddenly on Friday (November 12, 2004) at the Dr. George Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton.
Born in Dalhousie, he was the son of the late John and Emelia (Poirier) Nugent.
In his early years, he was with the Royal Canadian Air Force as a gas turbine engine mechanic and was a Cub Leader for Holy Family. He worked at Brunswick Mines as a surveyor and later as a shift supervisor and was a member of the company's Quarter Century Club.
Besides his wife, the former Beverley Garrett, he is survived by:

Jason Nugent (Emily Calkin) of Halifax, NS
Todd Nugent of North Tetagouche, NB
One brother:
Jackie Nugent (Annette) of Dalhousie, NB
Three sisters:
Barbara Nugent of Montreal, Que.
Margaret Ann Richardson (Martin) and
Mary Ellen Nugent, both of Toronto, ON
Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by brothers, Raymond and William.
There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday afternoon (November 16, 2004) at 3:00 p.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst. For anyone wishing to send tokens of sympathy, the family would appreciate donation to the Heart & Stoke Foundation, the Diabetes Association or a favorite charity. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst.
