1941-2014

Janeville, N.B. – Mr. Robert "Bob" Edwards, 73, husband of Audrey (Blakeley) Edwards, passed away suddenly at home on Tuesday, November 25, 2014.

Born in Hamilton Ont., he was the son of the late Burton and Elizabeth Edwards and stepson of the late Irene Edwards.

Besides his wife he is survived by four sons: Chris Edwards (Lisa) of Regina Sask., Jason (Mark) Stieger of Minneapolis, Mn.,  Wayne (Anita) Edwards of Linden Alta. and Robert Edwards of Hamilton, Ont.

Two daughters: Elizabeth Leeman of Hamilton, Ont., and Maryanne (Mark) Measor of Eganville, Ont.

Fourteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

One sister, Geraldine (late Robert) Dawson of Paris, Ont. Several nieces and nephews.

He was a member of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Branch 18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst. He was also a Lodge St. John 26 F&AM member. He worked at Dofasco for 27 years and then Colortron for 3 years before retiring in 1994 and moving to Janeville. He was an avid hockey card collector and spent many Saturday mornings at the Bathurst Farmer’s Market.

There will be no visitation. The funeral service will be held Monday, December 1, 2014 at Elhatton’s Funeral Chapel at 2 PM.

In memory of Bob, donations may be made to The Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Bathurst SPCA.
