1930 - 2014

Bathurst - Mrs. Lillian Bowes, 84, wife of the late John "Jack" Bowes, of Pleasant St., Bathurst, passed away on Saturday December 6, 2014, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthy illness.

Born in Dunlop, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Aline (Aubé) Hadley.

She was a former member of the Holy Family Catholic Women's League and the Holy Family Choir.

She is survived by three children:  Nancy Bowes Sills and Kevin Bowes, both of Fredericton and Keith Bowes of Bathurst.  Four grandchildren: Ryan, Jason, Briana and Brady.

One brother, Alward Hadley of Dunlop.  Two sisters:  Anita Kenny of Bathurst and Viola Cormier of Beresford.  Several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she was pre-deceased by a brother, Donald and three sisters: Pat, Martha and Gloria.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday December 9, 2014, at 2 p.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst. 

Donations in memory of Lillian may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
