1927 -2015

Glendon "Glen" Lavigne of Main St., Bathurst and formerly of South Bathurst, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at the age of 88, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.  Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Patrick Lavigne and Helena "Lena" Christie. 

He was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Herman J. Good V.C. Branch 18, 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Msgr. Wheten Assembly #0615, Bathurst and was involved in the Scouting movement over the years.  Glen enjoyed spending time outdoors and at his camp in Pabineau Falls.

He is survived by a son, Randy (Gerry) of Dartmouth.

One sister, Marilyn Doucet of Bathurst.

Numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Janet in 2000; a sister, Mabel Clement; three brothers: Hector, Eugene and Ronald.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 28, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and on Saturday from 10 am until time of funeral at Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), St. George St., Bathurst.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 11 am from the Holy Family Church, Bathurst.

Donations in memory of Glen may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
