Mrs. Eilena “Lena” Ellis, 94, wife of the late Thomas Ellis, of the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes and formerly of Salmon Beach, died Saturday (31 May, 2003) at the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes. Born in Salmon Beach, she was the daughter of the late Harris and Sara (Ellis) Eddy. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Thomas Ellis in 2002. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, which include Burton Eddy of Salmon Beach, and Shirley Eddy of Beresford The body rested at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst. Funeral Service was held on Monday afternoon (2 June, 2003) at 2:00 p.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Julie Armstrong officiating. Burial was in the St. Alban's Anglican Cemetery, Bridge St., Bathurst.
