It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stella Roy Babineau, 66, of Petit-Rocher, which occurred Saturday (January 15, 2005) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Alphé and Thérèse (Boudreau) Roy. Before retiring she worked part-time at the Public Library in Petit-Rocher. She will dearly be remembered for her courage and love of life. She will be greatly missed by: A daughter: Lisa Babineau-Laplante (Christian) of Petit-Rocher Two sons: Robert Babineau (Shelley) of Saskatoon, SK Daniel Babineau (Rebecca) of Campbellville, ON One grandson, Francois Laplant One sister: Mary Neeleman (John) of Nigadoo, NB Three brothers: Raymond Roy (Vicki) of Petit-Rocher, NB Gerald Roy (Anna) of Beresford, NB Roger Roy (Jeannine) of Dunlop, NB Many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a son, Donald. The family will receive friends on Monday evening only from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Elhatton's Funeral Home, St. George St., Bathurst.
