Howard “Huddy” Dobson, 84, of St. Paul St., Bathurst, died Friday (February 4, 2005) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthy illness. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Hudson and Carolyn (Morrison) Dobson. He worked for the former Consolidated Bathurst Paper Mill as a Pipe Fitter and was a member of the company's Quarter Century Club. He was pre-deceased by his wife, the former Florence Jesty in 1999. He is survived by: Three sons: David Dobson (Donna) and William Dobson (Rachel Roy) both of Robertville Tom Dobson (Nancy) of Bathurst Six brothers: Hubert Dobson (Margaret) of Port Hawkesbury, NS Ernest Dobson (Jean) of Sydney, NS Harold Dobson of Saint John, NB Kenneth Dobson of Bathurst Byron Dobson (Carmel) of Halifax, NS Daniel Dobson (Lee) of Ottawa, ON Two sisters: Doris Roy (Armand) of Bathurst, NB Emma Young of Riverview, NB Daughter-in-law: Lise Dobson of Bathurst Three grandsons: Patrick, Daniel and Andrew. Many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a son, Kenneth H. Dobson, in 2002. The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst.
