It is with deep sadness that the Gallagher family announces the passing of their mother, Muriel Gallagher (Luce), wife of the late William Gallagher of Bathurst, NB which occurred Saturday, October 1, 2016 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital at the age of 95.
Born in Bathurst, Muriel was the daughter of the late Frank and Josephine (Vienneau) Luce.
She is survived by her five children; sons: Kenneth (Janet) of Nackawic, NB; Stewart (Janice) of Palm Springs, CA; Glenn (Judy) of Bathurst; daughters: Arlene Murphy (Patrick) and Brenda Gallagher of Bathurst. She will be sadly missed by her 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
Two brothers: Gordon Luce of (Bathurst) and Clarence Luce (Whitby, Ontario), several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by three sisters: Isabel Theriault, Eunice and Doris Atwood and brother, Earl Luce.
Muriel was at her happiest when she was surrounded by her children and their families. One of her favourite past times was playing Auction 45 with the Senior’s Club or with her many friends. She was a life time member of the Sacred Heart Cathedral CWL, and in her earlier years she enjoyed being a member of the Senior’s Choir.
There will be no visitation. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 8, 2016, 10:00 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Bathurst.
Donations in memory of Muriel may be made to the Palliative Care Unit – Chaleur Regional Hospital or a charity of the donor's choice.

The Gallagher family extends heartfelt thanks to the Staff of Brise de L’Oasis Manor for their care and compassion they devoted to our dear mom during her stay and the Palliative Care Unit at the Chaleur Regional Hospital.
