Bathurst - Joseph Eugene Roussy, 83, of Raymond Ave., Bathurst, died Sunday (February 20, 2005) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness. Born in Pasbébiac, Que., he was the son of the late Pierre-Léon and Celestine (Roussy) Roussy. He was a very active member of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst, and a 4th Degree Knights of Colombus, Council #1935. His hobbies were gardening and wood-working, and was known by his family for cooking the best lobster. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 57 years, the former Florence Vienneau Three daughters: Irene Babin (Cyril) of Bathurst Pauline Lapointe (Joe) of Comox, BC Rose-Marie Clark (Lloyd) of Moncton Two sons: Paul Roussy (Viola) of Moncton Peter Roussy (Susan) of Arnprior, ON Six sisters: Elizabeth Roussy of Paspébiac, Que. Catherine Roussy, Simonne Cocolichio and Marieanne Demerse (Denis) all of Montreal, Que. Marie Blais (Arthur) of Port Daniel, Que. Rose Arseneau (Claude) of Bonaventure, Que. Two Brothers: Edmond Roussy of St. Catherines, ON Noé Roussy (Rita) of Paspébiac, Que. 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a sister, Gertrude and two brothers, Joseph and Cyril. The body will rest after 7 p.m. Monday at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday afternoon (February 23, 2005) at 2:00 p.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst.
