It is with sadness, that we the family announce the passing of Ruth Martin, which occurred at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, on Sunday, June 18, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 76.

Born in Tabusintac, N.B., she was the daughter of the late Carvel and Jean (Stymiest) MacEachern.

Ruth leaves to morn her loving husband of 56 years, William "Bill" Martin and three children:  Beth (Paul) Daigle of Bathurst, Bobby (Debbie) of Fort St. John, B.C. and Shelley (Blair) Scott of Bathurst and daughter-in-law Cindy Martin of Bathurst.

Seven grandchildren:  Shawn Daigle, Sara Martin, Paige Martin, Sandi Scott, Chadd Scott, Cole Scott and Jessi Scott and one great-grandchild, Jaxon all of Bathurst. 

Two brothers: Robert (Joanne) MacEachern of London, Ont. and Ronald (Marilyn) MacEachern of Tabusintac, N.B.

One sister, Phyllis (Wayne) Cormier of Bathurst.  Several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Bathurst Oncology Department, Bathurst Palliative Care Unit and Dr. Pierre Whitlock and the team of the Dr. Georges Dumont Hospital, Moncton.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 1 to 3 pm at Elhatton Funeral Home Chapel, (www.elhatton.com) Bathurst, from the funeral service will be held at 3 pm.  Donations in memory of Ruth may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
