Bathurst - Mrs. Thérèse Savoie Dugas 80, wife of the late Aurèle J. Dugas, died Monday (April 11,2005) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Fred Savoie and the late Lauza (Guignard), Savoie, Thibeault. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Aurèle J. Dugas in 1989. She is survived by: Three daughters; Irène Doucet (Richard), Rita Gionet (Ernest) and Jacqueline Dugas Downing (Marcel), all of Bathurst. Four sisters; Yvonne Arseneault (Bernard) of Toronto, Yvette Thibeault, Juliette Thibeault and Carmella Gionet (Jean), all of Bathurst. Two brothers; Omer Thibeault of Drummondville, Que., Edgar Thibeault (Lina) of Tremblay, NB. One sister-in-law; Alma Thibeault of Petit-Rocher. One granddaughter; Carole Gionet (Erik Loubert) of Bathurst. Two grandsons; Eric Doucet (Marie Chantale) of Halifax, NS. Marc Doucet of Moncton, NB. One great-grandson: Simon Doucet of Halifax, NS. Eleven nieces and six nephews. She was pre-deceased by an infant son, her step-father; Edgar Thibeault, a brother; Patrick Thibeault. The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday afternoon (April 14, 2005) at 2:00 p.m. from Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Burial will take in the parish cemetery in the spring.
