It is with great sadness that we announce, after a brave eight yearlong battle with cancer, the passing of Neil Alexander, of North Tetagouche, which occured on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Chaleur Regional Hospital. He was 49 years old.  He leaves behind his wife Denise (Aubie), stepson Jason Poirier of Fredericton, and beloved daughter Amy. His parents, Ron and Marlene (Coombs), sister Karen Lavigne (Dickie), brother Glenn (Debra)of Edmonton, AB, as well as nieces and nephews: Brandon, Jordan, Ryan, Megan, Jessica and Dakota. 

As a Loomis Express courier owner/operator Neil made many friends during his career. Each person he met was touched by his warmth and humor. Nobody knew cars like he did, and he always had a project on the go. Family meant everything to Neil and he will be greatly missed by each member including his special uncles: Burton Alexander and Stewart Coombs.

The family would like express deep gratitude to the nursing staff of the Oncology Unit of the Chaleur Regional Hospital as well as Dr Cauchon, Dr Larocque, the Palliative Care Unit and Extra Mural Care.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home; however, family and friends will be received at 2:00PM Sunday, February 25th at the Elhatton Funeral Home Chapel (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst, for a service and reception to follow.
