Bathurst – Mrs. Emily Young, 94, wife of the late Alfred John "Freddy" Young, of Church St., Bathurst passed away at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, on Saturday April 28, 2018.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late John and Marguerite (Lanteigne) Cormier.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

He is survived by her five children:  John (William), James (Veronica), Barbara (Gerald) Pitre,  Joan Gionet and Robert (Lynn) all of Bathurst.

8 Grandchildren:  Cathy (Todd) Morrison, Christopher (Rosemary) Pitre, Karen Young, Kevin (Gillian) Young, Jeffrey (Lesley) Gionet, Jessica (Aj Gray) Gionet, Adam & Alex Young.  5 great-grandchildren: Kayla, William, Nicholas, Eliana & Sofia.

Several nieces & nephews.

Visitation will be at Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9.  Funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at 2 p.m. from the Elhatton Funeral Home Chapel.  

Donations in memory of Emily may be made to Canadian Breast Cancer or a charity of the donor's choice.
