Greg Castle of Ste. Anne, Gloucester Co., passed away Monday, May 6th, 2019 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst at the age of 60.
Born in Mount Pearl, NF he was the son of the late George and Julia (Lucy) Castle.
Greg was a retired supervisor of the former Brunswick Mines and enjoyed travelling, fishing and hunting from East to West coast of Canada.
He is survived by his wife, Joan (Smith) Castle and three step-children: Matthew Gionet and Jenny Gionet both of Bathurst and Lisa (Jeff) Wood of Moncton.
Two grandchildren: Keira and Kolby.
Three brothers: Andrew (Debra) Castle of Campbell River, BC, John (Linda) Castle of Airdrie, AB and Donald (Julie) Castle of St. John’s, NF.
One sister: Mary Ann Castle (Kevin Stoyles) of Campbell River, BC.
Several nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Florence "Flo" Coffin.
The family will receive relatives and friends Sunday, May 12th from 7 to 9 p.m. at Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), St. George St., Bathurst.
A celebration of Greg’s life will be held Monday, May 13th at 2 p.m. from the Elhatton Funeral Home Chapel.
