Mary Stever, 82, of Salmon Beach and formerly of Montreal, passed away on Tuesday (January 17, 2006) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness. Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late William and Georgina (Lavigne) Stever. She is survived by: Two brothers: Joseph (Marie) of Fredericton Everette 'Vic' Stever of Rothesay, NB One sister: Loretta 'Lolly' Erickson of Bathurst Several nieces and nephews, including Flora McLean (John) with whom she resided. She was pre-deceased by four brothers; Alfred, Martin, Ernest 'John' and Leo. There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated later in the spring from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst, at a date and time to be announced. For anyone wishing to send tokens of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Palliative Care Unit of the Chaleur Regional Hospital or a favorite charity.
