Bathurst – It is with a heavy heart that we the family, announce the passing of our mom, Nanny, Mrs. Theresa Parker, wife of the late Roland Parker, of the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes and formerly of Brunswick Ave., Bathurst, passed away on Friday May 12, 2023 at the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes, Bathurst at the age of 97. She will be dearly missed.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Napoleon and Rebecca (Hachey) Rioux.

Theresa worked as a Registered Nurse until her retirement and was a member of the Sacred Heart Cathedral Catholic Women’s League.

She is survived by two sons: Robert Parker (Sherry) of Edmonton, AB and Danny Parker (Aylwyn) of Dartmouth, NS,

Two daughters: Maureen Doucet (Vernon) and Judy Pelletier (Ghislain) both of Bathurst.

Six grandchildren and three great-grandchild.

Brother: Roland Rioux (Connie) of Fredericton.

Several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and parents, she was pre-deceased by a grandson, Alex; six brothers and five sisters.

There will be no visitations at the Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be celebrated on Monday, May 15, 2023, at 2 p.m. from Elhatton's Funeral Home Chapel, Bathurst. Donations in memory of Theresa may be made to Bathurst S.P.C.A or a charity of the donors choice.
