Bathurst - Mrs. Doreen Kenny, 77, wife of Byron 'Bud' Kenny, of Little River Dr., Bathurst, passed away on Friday (February 3, 2006) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthy illness. Born in Dalhousie, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Margaret (Hachey) Letourneau. She was a Registered Nurse, working at the former Hotel Dieu Hospital, Chaleur Regional Hospital, the Villa Sormany and later with Extra Mural. She was a member of the Retired Nurses Association. Besides her husband, Byron 'Bud' Kenny, she is survived by: Two sons: Dan Kenny (Susan Nickum) of Bathurst Steven Kenny (Roz) of New Jersey, USA Two daughters: Anne Thompson (Lloyd) of Lynn Lake, MB Karen MacDiarmid (Buddy) of Miramichi Two brothers: Claude Letourneau of Dalhousie Francis Letourneau of Africa Two sisters: Claudette Eardley (Frank) of Dalhousie Jackie Hall (Berry) of Toronto, ON Nine grandchildren, one great-grandson, several nieces and nephews. The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday afternoon from 2 to 4 at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday morning (February 6, 2006) at 11:00 a.m. from St. Theresa Church, South Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery in the spring.
