Bathurst - Mrs. Mary Ann Legacy, wife of the late Wilbert Legacy Sr., of Bathurst, passed away suddenly on Sunday September 10, 2023, at her residence at the age of 84.

Born in South Tetagouche, she was the daughter of the late Abraham and Delia (Pitre) Henry.

She is survived by four children: Wilbert Jr. Legacy (Carol) and Donna Theriault (Gary) both of Big River, Alcide Legacy (Monica Roy) of Bathurst and Delia Legacy (Serge Roy) of Petit-Rocher.

Nine grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

One brother, Isidore Henry (Helen) of Big River.

Two sisters: Evangeline Frenette (late Lucien) of Big River and Betty Ann Brideau (Jean Guy) of Beresford.

Several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and parents, she was pre-deceased by a granddaughter, Rebecca Cole and her siblings: Leo, Aldonse, Frederick, Beatrice, Marcella, Theresa, Valida and Delina.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday September 19, 2023, at 2 p.m. from Elhatton’s Funeral Home Chapel (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Donations in memory of Mary Ann can be made to a charity of the donors choice.
