Bathurst ? Alexandre Chiasson, 90, of Riverside Dr. and formerly of Big River, passed away Sunday (February 12, 2006) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness. Born in Caraquet, he was the son of the late Guillaume and Louise (Doiron) Chiasson. He worked as a woods worker for most of his life He was pre-deceased by his wife, Marguerite (Smith) Chiasson, One son: Donald Chiasson (Maria Carrier)of Big River He is survived by: One brother: Alphonse Chiasson of Bathurst One grandson, Michel, one great-grandson, Nathan Patrick, several nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday afternoon (February 15, 2006) at 4:00 p.m. from Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St. Burial will be in the parish cemetery, King Ave., in the spring.
