Dr. Jocelyne Leona Picot, passed away November 18, 2023, in Verdun, Qc after bravely combatting Alzheimer's.
She was the only daughter of Philip and Blanche Picot, is survived by her husband Adam Clark and brothers, Eric (Francine) in Shediac, NB, Yvon (Anne-Marie) in Riverview, NB and Marc (Wendie) in Moncton, NB.
She is also survived by her stepchildren Sarah Hodgson (Clark) and Adam Clark Jr, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jocelyne and Adam were married September 18, 1993 in Montreal. Jocelyne had a very productive and active life. She began her career as an X-ray technician at the Montreal Children’s Hospital. She furthered her education and obtained a Masters degree in Educational Technology from Concordia University and her Ph.D in Communications from Simon Fraser University. Throughout her career she authored numerous papers on Telehealth medicine and published a book "What Telehealth Can Do For You" in 2015. Her exceptional contributions earned her significant awards. After holding positions as a Director in Industry Canada and serving as an adjunct professor at McGill, she launched her consulting business, working in places as diverse as Iqaluit and Manaus in the Amazon. As a friend, colleague and teacher, Jocelyne had an enormous and positive impact on many of the lives of people with whom she had contact. Jocelyne loved biking, skiing, cruising, ballroom dancing and her passion was her Grand piano. Jocelyne and Adam had countless memories at their cottage in Baie de Bouctouche, NB.
A private celebration of Jocelyne's life will be held at a later date.
