Sainte-Anne, Glou. Co. - It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the peaceful passing of Clifford Chamberlain, of Sainte-Anne, Clou. Co., which occurred at Chaleur General Hospital on Saturday, September 7th, 2024, at the age of 95.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Joseph Leonard Chamberlain and the late Anna Marie Pitre.

He leaves to mourn his wife of 69 years, Marjorie (Smith) Chamberlain; his children; Donald (Myrna) from Robertville, David (Debbie) from Vankleek Hill, ON, and Daren (Velma) from Lab City, NL.

His grandchildren: Cody, Beka, Jesse, Dara, Shawn, Carly, Brandon, Pamela and Samantha, and 9 great-grandchildren.

He is survived by two sisters:

Doris Yaremko and

Norma Chamberlain

Two brothers:

William "Billy" and

Leonard

Several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was pre-deceased by two sisters, Rita Desnoyer and Yvette Chamberlain and brother, Gerald.

Clifford served on the Lady Rodney at the end of WWII and held many different jobs over his lifetime. He especially enjoyed working for Connolly’s Construction in his early work life.

He enjoyed the outdoors and loved hunting and fishing passing his love of nature and his knowledge to his sons and grandchildren. He was an active senior and still able to cut 10 cords of wood with ease.

Clifford’s wish was not to have a traditional funeral or gathering but instead for family and friends to take the time to share together special memories.

His sense of humor, his quirks and his presence will be greatly missed.

Donations in memory of Clifford may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Burial for Clifford will take place on Wednesday morning, September 11th at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Cemetery, St. Peter Ave, Bathurst.
