Mrs. Vera White, 79, wife of the late Omer White, of Bathurst, passed away on Friday (May 26, 2006) at the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes, Bathurst., after a lengthy illness. Born in Avoca, Que, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Margaret Ann (Young) Crawford. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Omer, in 2004. She is survived by: Two sons: Brian White and Michael White, both of Bathurst Three daughters: Donna Stewart (Doug) of Moncton Carol Lavigne (Steven) of Bathurst Brenda White (Maurice Hachey) of Bathurst Two sisters: Carrie Simpson of Ontario Laura Crawford of Ontario One brother: Irving Crawford of Quebec Four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by daughter, Evelyn in 1976. Funeral Service was held on Monday morning (May 29, 2006) at 11:00 a.m. from Elhatton's Funeral Home Chapel, Bathurst, with Father Edmond Chamberlain officiating. Burial was in the Sacred Heart Cathedral Cemetery, King Ave., Bathurst. Arrangements were in the care of Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
