Bathurst - Louis Thibeault, 86, of Miramichi Ave., Bathurst, passed away on Tuesday (August 8, 2006) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Francois and Henriette (Frenette) Thibeault.
He served in World War II, with the Royal Canadian Army in Canada and was a member of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18 Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst. He worked for the former Consolidated Bathurst Paper Mill for 43 years and was a member of the Company's Quarter Century Club. He volunteered for many years in various capacities for the parish of Mount Carmel and the City of Bathurst.

11 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by 3 brothers; Léo, Fabien, Edgar and a sister; Isabelle.
The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday (August 10, 2006) at 4:00 p.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrews St., Bathurst. Burial will be in the Mount Carmel Cemetery, St. Mary's Ave., Bathurst. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Thursday from 2 until time of Funeral. A Legion service will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. from the Funeral Home.
