Bathurst - Alexandre "Alex" Chiasson, 85, of Patterson Cres., Bathurst, passed away on Monday (September 11, 2006), at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Born in Lameque, he was the son of the late Octave and Elodie (Noël) Chiasson. He served in World War II with the Royal Canadian Army in Canada. He worked as a custodian for the former Assumption Acadimie School for over 33 years. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Ida (Arseneau) Chiasson in 1997. He is survived by: One daughter: Marie-Anne Chiasson of Bathurst One brother: Algar Chiasson of Montreal, Que. The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday (September 13, 2006) at 11:00 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst. Burial will be in the Mount Carmel Cemetery, St. Mary's Ave. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral. A Legion service will be held from the Funeral Home on Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 p.m.
