Bathurst - Lawrence "Laurie" Davidson, 74, of Stout Court, Bathurst, passed away on Friday (January 26, 2007) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Born in Tabusintac, he was the son of the late John and Annie (Danastine) Davidson. He worked at the former Consolidated Bathurst Paper Mill in the Shipping Department and was a member of the Company's Quarter Century Club. Besides his wife, Edith "Dede" (Good) Davidson, he is survived by: Two sons: Graydon of St. Stephen, NB Ross (Caroline) of Milk River, AB Two grandchildren; Aaron and Laura One brother: Borden (Ella) of Miramichi, NB Four sisters: Elspeth Smith of Bathurst Edith Cameron of Sackville, NB Kay Jacobson of Bathurst Ola Chamberlain (Fred) of Truro, NS Several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a brother; Harris, two sisters; Ella and Margaret. The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Service will be held on Monday afternoon (January 29, 2007) at 2:00 p.m. from the First United Church, St. Patrick St., Bathurst. Burial will be in the Highland View Cemetery, Bridge St., Bathurst, in the spring.
