Bathurst - Shirley Poirier, 67, of Westbrook Court, Bathurst, passed away on Tuesday (April 17, 2007) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late William and Corinne (Hachey) Smith. She will be deeply missed by her children and their spouses: Charles (Inger) of Ottawa, ON Danny (Ellen) of South Tetagouche, NB Denise Thibeault of the Bahamas Michael (Laura) of Middle River, NB Terry-Lynn Poirier (Stefan) of Germany And their father Elzear Poirier of Middle River,NB Three brothers: Jack Smith (Irma) of Bathurst Donald Smith (Lorraine) of Big River Dale Smith (Nancy Scott) of Little River One sister: Linda Addison of Calgary, AB 5 grandchildren; Jason, Christopher, Kathryn, Jamie and Emily. Several nieces, nephews, and all family and friends who knew her. She was pre-deceased by her younger brother; Winston. There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday afternoon (April 20, 2007) at 4:00 p.m. from St. Theresa Church, South Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery later in the spring.
